RuneScape is online fantasy role playing game. It is completely based on java code, so it is played trough internet, which means runescape is ONLY online RPG, and it will never be able to play it off-line. RuneScape is not even BETA anymore. On 1.3.2002 it came off from the beta stage as the P2P (Pay to Play) version was released. RuneScape advances all the time and new things is added each week, but no updating will be required for player to do, because the game is always loaded when started This game is not anymore just some hobby of couple random guys from England. Now they do this for work, which also increases the update rate. The is free version and P2P version on runescape. That is one thing that makes it so special. The free version is not just very limited small demo but a full game too. P2P only adds some nice features to the game, and it doesn't even cost much. Just 5$ per month. RuneScape doesn't require much from computer, although good internet connection is always a bonus. Even though the game is 3D, it doesn't really require good 3d graphic card, because it doesn't use any hardware accerlation. Currently all the players in runescape aren't waiting for anything special to come, but when something is released, servers are always full (ne server can hold up to 1250 players). After updates, Overpopulating is no longer a problem, because there are 10 servers (3 P2P), and new features are released mostly to P2P only, and there aren't yet enough P2P people to fill all 3 P2P servers. I think RuneScape is very good online RPG compared to other commercial games like UO (and I have UO, so I can tell).
In RuneScape you start with creating your character. You can determind its looks by changin sex, leg, body, hair and skin color and it can have beard or not to total of 112500 different combinations. There are no different races to choose from in RuneScape. For now, your beginning class does only effect your starting stuff and skills, but later in the game, it makes little (actually no) difference, which class you took at the beginning, because all the classes just have different starting bonuses and nothing unique, which couldn't be gained by other classes as well. This game doesn't have normal experienxe level system like in normal single player RPGs. Your skill will rise when you use them (although only succesful doings will increase your stats, so like in normal life, people wont learn from their mistakes =P ). The RuneScape world isn't huge yet (but you could say it's big), but it will be made larger later, and they already improved it by creating P2P area and Asgarnia (it wasn't in the game in the beginning) and wilderness. The game has many aspects. You can mine and make all your battlegear by yourself. You can cook different kind of things like pies and bread or even cake or pizza to heal you up (but your character still regenerates automatically), or if you P2P, you can even fish sharks. You can even cast various of spells on your enemy or to yourself to make you stronger in combat situations, or now even cast prayers to make you much stronger. You also can fish or craft jewelry or cut gems or make pottery. If you choose to P2P, you can even do such things as craft bows or make arrows or even make potions to make you better. The only drawback in RuneScape is the same as in each online game: cheaters and scammers. There is always scammers lying to you to make you give your stuff to them, or cheaters getting everything best by some cheats, like macro or hack programs which are illegal.

least half year. (so far no-one has been able to get any skill to
100)
